Qualification/Experience

Mary is a graduate intern currently pursuing her Master of Arts in Counseling through St.
Edward’s University to become an LPC. Before pursuing a career as a therapist, she attended
Samford University in Birmingham, AL where she received a B.A. in International Relations, and
worked in both the adoption and higher education communities. Currently, she works with The
Timothy Center helping to conduct clinical intakes for their IOP program.

Her interests lie in helping adolescent and adult women discover what’s holding them back
from a life of freedom, and discerning which tools and God-given gifts they have to begin doing
so today. Mary’s areas of clinical specialty are anxiety, perfectionism, shame, depression,
faith/doubt issues, relational conflict, and trauma. Lastly, her approach is one of integrating the
client’s personal relationship with God, together with her expertise in mental health, towards
experiencing hope and healing.

Mary is an active member of Providence Church, and enjoys living life in Central Austin with her
husband, Nelson, and parenting their dog—a mischievous French Barbet named Dolley.
